I must express my sincere thanks to Dr Ralph Rogers , whose 2 well placed administrations to my degenerative chassis, allowed me to finish mid field, amongst the 300 deranged masochists, who completed the marathon in Portugal's Douro Valley10 days ago. Starting in 36C heat, and all off road in hills higher than Grand Canyon, and finishing in 42C was almost mission impossible. Made worse by being possibly the oldest participant at 56! I shed 2.1Kg (4.5lbs) during the mindless, shirtless, ordeal.
